Travel Universe with Google

Google has teamed up with astronomers, and launched Google Sky, Google Moon & Google Mars. A very useful tool for students.

Google Sky provides an exciting way to browse and explore the universe.

  • You can find the positions of the planets and constellations on the sky
  • You can watch the birth of distant galaxies as seen by the Hubble Space Telescope.
  • You can watch the Universe at different wavelengths.

The results and data is based on largest ground- and space-based astronomical surveys. Just type the name of the planet or star in the search box and Google Sky/Mars/Moon takes you to where it can be found on the sky.
